With the increasing demand for wireless products Amkette has launched a product for the computing market which is not just for your computer but also works for XBox & PlayStation 3. This means that this single keyword works for multiple devices and is also a direct plug and play device.

First of all the packaging is neat considering Amkette was earlier targeting low cost products and consumers who are looking for budgeted products but this package looks almost similar to what Logitech offers. Next once you open the package there is a Manual booklet along with the main keyboard.
Next once you open the Wireless Keyboard package you would find the ‘USB wireless network adapter’ which comes attached at the bottom of the keyboard and a slot to insert 2 AAA battery cells for the connectivity. The best part is that you just have to insert the USB wireless network adapter to the PC and the keyboard is ready to use while you don’t have to install any third party software for the same. Once the connection is active you can start using the Wi-Key Touch keyboard and directly enjoy all its features. It also offers you with multimedia shortcut buttons which are useful when you want to quickly access programs or applications.
The device is more user friendly to laptop users because the layout is quite similar to what you get on general 13″ or 15″ laptops with no numerical keypad section and a trackpad which is located on the bottom center area. It would be great if we could some how make this keyboard connect to the Apple iPad because that would make the iPad a complete computer. With the 2.4Ghz wireless technology you can easily connect to your PC, Xbox or any other compatible device for upto 15 to 20 feet distance. Currently its compatible with MAC OSX, Linux, Sony’s PS3 and Microsoft’s Xbox 360 too.
The multimedia or extra feature keys located on the top would allow you to email, search, favorites, volume and playback control. Do note that unlike other wireless keyboard packages this one does not come with a wireless mouse.
